For the second consecutive year, Ruentex Development is supporting Earth Hour, a globally recognized sustainability initiative. The Company has called on its subsidiaries and business partners to join the campaign by switching off non-essential lighting in office areas and public spaces from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. , March 28, taking concrete action to conserve energy, reduce carbon emissions, and help cool the planet.
Looking back at 2025, Ruentex Group piloted its first lights-out initiative at its headquarters. With the active participation of employees, energy-saving awareness was successfully translated into concrete action. According to statistics released by the event organizer, Earth Hour activities across Taiwan saved nearly 298,000 kWh of electricity in 2025, equivalent to a reduction of approximately 147,510 kilograms of carbon emissions. This marked a record high and significantly increased awareness and engagement in climate action among businesses and the general public.
Building on the positive results of last year, Ruentex Development, Ruentex Innovative Development, Ruentex Construction & Development, Ruentex Xu-Zhan, and Ruentex Bai-Yi have all registered to participate in Earth Hour 2026. This year, the initiative has been further expanded to invite tenant partners at the Ruentex Songshan Station Building, Ruentex Nangang Station Building, and Ruentex Yucheng Office Building to take part. Together, they are taking collective action to build a more sustainable future.
Ruentex Yucheng Office Building received the WELL Platinum Certification in the first quarter of 2026, becoming the first commercial office building in Nangang District to achieve this distinction. The recognition reflects Ruentex’s long-term commitment to healthy buildings and sustainable environments. Its participation in Earth Hour further demonstrates the Company’s concrete efforts in low-carbon operations and responsible management.
